Akim Cadet, Esq.
Akim Cadet joined Dowling Law in 2023. As an associate, he is dedicated to helping employers navigate the intricacies of employment and labor law.
Akim previously worked in workers’ compensation where he gained invaluable experience representing injured workers. To this day, he feels an immense sense of gratitude for being able to develop the skills necessary to be a zealous advocate in court.
Today, he uses that diverse set of skills at Dowling Law helping clients understand how to comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, wage-hour requirements, federal labor law, and other workplace laws and regulations. Akim works with clients on policy and handbook development/review, conducts investigations, and provides training for managers, supervisors, and employees on a variety of workplace topics.
One of Akim’s favorite things about the law is that it is ever-changing. With every dispute and issue, there is a chance for the law to shift for better or worse, and Akim finds it especially rewarding to stay up to date on the cutting edge of law.
Akim is an avid New York Giants fan, a newly minted LSU Football fan, and a reluctant Knicks supporter. When he’s not watching football or helping clients, the self-proclaimed foodie is probably trying a new restaurant in the Capital Region and he’s always open to recommendations.
